Sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone. Will be responsible for parts ordering and receiving, as well as making stock orders.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer
  • Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock
  • Complete special order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer
  • Communicate with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Serve as backup to parts counterperson or stocking clerk as necessary
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry
Qualification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with auto parts sales preferred

The internet sales team at Herrin-Gear Toyota is highly regarded for managing the bulk of leads that come into our dealership. Selling with our internet team is considered a promotion from the sales floor, and an opportunity to work with a high number of customers on a monthly basis. Team members are expected to handle each lead individually, providing exceptional customer service, from lead conception to delivery. Our ideal candidate has six months or more of car selling experience, knowledge of CRM tools, and the ability to build professional business relationships. In addition, a proven track record in sales, communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to prioritize and stay organized are preferred. However, if you have no experience, but are highly motivated, goal oriented, and organized, we want to hear from you! Candidates must be open minded to management and receptive to feedback. Regardless of experience, our highly trained management team is committed to your success, which means they will be there every step of the way to train, coach, and mentor you. Responsibilities
  • Monitoring internet leads, and promptly responding to customers within 5 minutes of lead being received.
  • Internet Associate responds appropriately to customer queries, ensuring all criteria is included in responses, as well as follows TMNA guidelines for timed responses.
  • Generate appointments through prospecting and lead management, both through email and/or on the phone.
  • Communicate with customers throughout entire shopping experience, focusing on strong follow-up, and ensuring all questions are answered.
  • Is responsible for customer follow-up and updates, knowing up to date incentives and special offers, moving inventory back after customers look/demo it, moving trades to appropriate locations, etc.
  • Assist customers appropriate vehicle selection.
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Continually drive new and previous customers to our dealership by building relationships, following up, setting appointments, and treating them like family.
  • Must be able to manage 300 + contacts a month in an organized and thorough manner.
  • Must consistently work as a team player, helping fellow teammates or sales consultants throughout the customer buying experience as needed.
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge both of the Toyota product, and the sales purchase/lease process.

Responsibilities
  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and our manufactures standards.
  • Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
  • Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicates with the Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Road tests vehicles when required.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to direct supervisor.
  • Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies the Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know and other safety requirements.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Qualification
